The Room Builder lets you see SV Luminary hexagon LED lighting in a room like yours before you buy. Tell it about your space and it places the kit that fits, checks the clearances, estimates the power and builds a cart with real svluminary.com prices.
Plan your lighting in five steps
Pick your room. Thirteen rooms to start from: 1, 2 and 3-car garage, RV or boat garage, home gym, barbershop, detail or PDR bay, showroom or retail, bar or lounge, game room or arcade, office or conference room, covered patio and warehouse or shop.
Enter your size. Width and depth from 8 to 150 feet and ceiling height from 7 to 30 feet, with sliders or typed feet.
Choose your ceiling and mounting. Drywall, metal deck, open trusses, wood, cement board or acoustic tile. Mount the lights flush, or hang them on cables with a drop of up to 35 inches.
See it lit, then make it yours. The builder picks the kit that fits and lays it out with 12 inches clear of every wall and 6 inches from garage door tracks and openers, and grids never overlap. Change the kit, the layout, the size, RGB colours or the dimmable option and watch it update.
Open your cart. One tap opens a cart on svluminary.com with the right kits, garage bundles and cable bags at live prices. Shipping is free to the lower 48.
Room Builder FAQ
Is the Room Builder free?
Yes. It is free, needs no account and works on your phone or computer.
How accurate is the layout?
Sizes are close but not exact, and the renderings are illustrations, so the light on your screen will not match the real thing. For an exact plan, send us your room and we will design a free custom layout.
Can I hang the lights instead of mounting them flush?
Yes. Every kit comes with flush mount hardware, and hanging cable kits adjust up to 35 inches. The builder checks every cable against that limit and suggests strut across open trusses when a drop would be too long.
What does dimmable mean on SV Luminary kits?
Dimmable kits step through 100, 60 and 30 percent brightness using the wall switch you already have. There is no dimmer, remote or app. See dimmable kits.
Will my circuit handle the lights?
The builder estimates the watts for your layout and compares them with 80 percent of a 15 amp circuit (1,320 watts) or a 20 amp circuit (1,760 watts). Have your electrician confirm before you install.
Do I need an electrician?
We recommend a licensed electrician to hardwire the kit into your lighting circuit. A 120 volt plug adapter can be added if you prefer a plug-in setup. More in our electrical FAQ.
What about shipping and warranty?
Shipping is free to the lower 48 and kits ship from Dallas-Fort Worth in 2 to 3 business days. Every kit has a 2-year warranty with spare parts in the box.
