How to size it yourself

  1. Measure your ceiling (length × width) and note the area in square feet.
  2. Decide on coverage. For bright, even task lighting over a whole bay, match or slightly exceed your square footage with a kit's coverage number. For accent or a single zone, a smaller kit centered over the work area looks great.
  3. Pick a shape. Standard hex kits run wider than tall and suit rectangular ceilings. The Diamond series is a styled alternative. Bordered kits add a clean rectangular frame around the honeycomb for a finished look.
  4. Choose dimmable or not. Non-dimmable runs at full brightness — simplest and most affordable. Dimmable connects to a compatible dimmer for adjustable brightness, great for gyms, studios, and living spaces.

A flush-mount install kit is included, and most installs take under an hour. Cable suspension kits are available if you want to hang the array off the ceiling.

How many hexagons do I need for a 2-car garage?

Most 2-car garages land on the 11-Panel for a single bay or the 14-Panel with Border for full ceiling coverage — the 14-Panel is our most popular kit for exactly this reason.

Can I arrange them in any shape?

Yes. The hexagons are fully modular and connect edge-to-edge in any configuration using the included connectors.

Do I need an electrician?

We recommend a licensed electrician hardwire the kit into your existing lighting circuit. A 120V plug adapter is available if you prefer a plug-in setup.

We trialed nearly every hex kit on the market and kept finding the same shortcuts: plastic frames that sag, 2-pin aluminum wiring that works loose, zero support after the sale.
