How to Size It Yourself

  1. Measure your ceiling (length by width) and note the area in square feet.
  2. Decide on coverage. For bright, even task lighting over a whole bay, match or slightly exceed your square footage with a kit coverage number. For accent or a single zone, a smaller kit centered over the work area looks great.
  3. Pick a shape. Standard hex kits run wider than tall and suit rectangular ceilings. The Diamond series is a styled alternative. Bordered kits add a clean rectangular frame around the honeycomb for a finished look.
  4. Choose dimmable or not. Non-dimmable runs at full brightness, the simplest and most affordable option. Dimmable connects to a compatible dimmer for adjustable brightness, great for gyms, studios, and living spaces.

Do I need an electrician?
